CCQ Launches Student Branch Of Arab Cybersecurity Association
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Community College of Qatar has launched the student branch of the Arab Association for Cyber Security, aiming to refine students' skills and prepare national talents capable of leading the digital transformation journey and addressing increasing cybersecurity challenges.
The launch event was attended by numerous academic officials and experts from both local and Arab levels. Speaking at the event, Dean of Science & Technology Division /Information Technology Department, Dr Abdullah al-Ghashami, said that this step reflects the college's vision to enhance the quality of applied education and build a generation capable of creativity and innovation. He noted that cybersecurity has become a necessity amid rapid technological developments.
Al-Ghashami added that the student branch provides a platform to strengthen academic and research collaboration and facilitate knowledge exchange, in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030. Founding Secretary-General of the Arab Association for Cyber Security, Dr Noora Fetais, expressed her pride in launching the Association's second student branch in Qatar, describing it as an important milestone in empowering Arab youth in the cybersecurity field.
The launch of this student branch reflects Qatar Community College's commitment to fostering a stimulating educational and research environment and consolidating the role of youth as a key element in building a secure digital future, in line with Qatar's aspirations toward a sustainable knowledge-based economy that strengthens cybersecurity and protects its digital resources.
