(MENAFN) Besiktas GAIN men's basketball head coach Dusan Alimpijevic highlighted that the cornerstone of their achievements is dedication and effort, noting his satisfaction with the squad’s steady development and strengthening cohesion.

In a conversation with Anadolu, Alimpijevic emphasized that the key factor in continuing his tenure at Besiktas was sharing a mutual passion and maintaining complete alignment with the club's management and technical team.

"Two years ago, we were on the brink of relegation, but now our matches are sold out. We enjoy playing together. That's incredibly important. We achieve everything together. Most importantly, we have a really good rapport with the club's management, president, executives, general manager, and team. We share the same passion. That was one of the key factors in my decision," he explained.

The Istanbul-based club began the Super Lig with a flawless record of eight wins in eight games, marking a first in its history. In the European Cup, Besiktas is tied at the top with six wins in eight matches, with Serbian coach Dusan Alimpijevic playing a central role in this success.

Alimpijevic pointed out that the team has emerged victorious in 14 out of 16 games played so far.

"If anyone had predicted this before the season, we would have been delighted. It’s a tremendous achievement. We have ambitious goals this year and we’re progressing well. What matters most is not how you start, but how you finish. Ultimately, success means ending the season with a trophy. Our objectives haven’t changed -- we’re committed to doing our best in the league," he stated.
