First Skyranger 35 SPAAG On Leopard 1 Chassis To Arrive In Ukraine Next Week
“As part of Rheinmetall's CMD 2025 presentation, Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger has just announced that the first Skyranger 35 SPAAG mounted on the Leopard 1 chassis will be delivered to Ukraine as early as next week,” the report states.
It is noted that Rheinmetall will deliver Skyranger 35 SPAAGs mounted on the Leopard 1 chassis to Ukraine as part of a contract worth several hundred million euros. The payment for the contract was made by an unnamed EU country using frozen Russian assets.

The system is equipped with a KDG 35/1000 revolver-type autocannon, caliber 35 × 228 mm, with a firing rate of 1,000 rounds per minute and an effective range of up to 4 kilometers.
The new Skyranger 35 guns will provide enhanced protection against low-flying targets, primarily drones, while the use of the Leopard 1 tracked chassis offers better mobility and protection in complex combat conditions.
