To ensure continuity of medical care, KTH has devised alternative arrangements. Under a cooperative system with other MTI hospitals, medicines will be supplied through their pharmacies, with financial adjustments to be settled later.

Hospital officials added that they are in constant contact with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department and the Sehat Sahulat Programme administration to restore the Sehat Card services as soon as possible. The public has been urged to cooperate with the hospital during this challenging period.

Khyber Teaching Hospital is the second-largest health facility in Peshawar, receiving thousands of patients daily from across the province. Patients and their families say the suspension of free treatment has caused immense hardship for those who rely on the programme.
