KP CM Inaugurates New GIKI Faculty Apartments, Announces 20 Scholarships For Tribal Students

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi visited the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) in Swabi, where he formally inaugurated newly constructed faculty apartments and announced 20 special scholarships for students belonging to the merged tribal districts.

During the visit, the chief minister said the provincial government stands firmly with every student in need, adding that no child in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would have to abandon education due to financial constraints.“Whenever students need support, Imran Khan's provincial government will be there to assist them,” he said.

Encouraging students to bring forward innovative ideas, he assured them of the government's full support. Welcoming students from other provinces, he added,“You are our guests, consider this institute your home.”

The chief minister stressed that strong institutions are the foundation of a strong state, making institutional strengthening essential. He expressed satisfaction that GIKI has become a practical symbol of national unity.

He further praised the presence of 500 female students in the engineering department, calling it a positive sign. Afridi added that GIKI graduates are raising Pakistan's profile globally, bringing pride to both the institute and the province.
