(MENAFN- ING) We're starting to get the big economic numbers out of the US now the government shutdown has finally ended. Thursday, we get the first jobs report since September. And there are real concerns about the employment situation, and it's why we narrowly favour a US rate cut in December. But the Fed is also worried about inflationary effects. And ING's James Knightley says the inflation report on the morning of 10 December may well be pivotal to the rate decision due just hours later.
