(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19.​ A new stage has already been started in the project to develop the Cheshmeh Khosh, Dalpari, and Paydar-e Shargh oil fields located in western Iran, Majid Najarian, an official from the Iranian Petroleum Engineering and Development Company, told local media, Trend reports.

According to Najarian, the 28th meeting of the Joint Management Committee for the development of the specified oil fields took place in Tehran on November 17. The meeting provided a comprehensive update on the current status of the fields' development, reviewed the outcomes of previous decisions, and outlined the forthcoming programs in detail.

Najarian further highlighted that a report on the progress of tenders was presented during the meeting, with committee members emphasizing the need to expedite both technical and financial assessments.

Additionally, the company official mentioned that a representative from the Russian ZN Vostok company briefed the committee on the Transfer of Technology program, including a list of portable technologies and training initiatives. The committee also stressed the importance of leveraging available expertise to address technical challenges in the reservoir and fostering collaboration with startup companies.

The meeting also concentrated on evaluating the structure of contracts aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and improving mutual understanding with contractors.

In 2019, a 10-year contract was signed between the Russian ZN Vostok company and the Iranian companies Iran Ofogh and Kayson to develop the Cheshmeh Khosh, Dalpari, and Paydar-e Sharg fields with an investment of $3 billion. Development of the fields began in mid-2020.
