(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MANAMA, Nov 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Kowat Alrami team won second place in the 7th Arab Kowat Alrami Championship in Manama, hosted by the Arab Federation of Kowat Alrami (AFKA), winning 4 golds, 8 silvers, and 4 bronzes, Monday.
Kuwait Kowat Alrami Chief and Delegation Head Captain Mahmoud Abdul told KUNA that the Kuwaiti team achieved an outstanding presence, with Obaid Al-Mutairi winning one gold and one silver, Saud Boushehri, Hamad Al-Alyan, and Abdulaziz Al-Alyan all winning a gold medal.
He added that Saleh Al-Dosari, Salman Al-Ali, Abdullah Al-Tulaibi, all won two silver medals, while Hamad Al-Haboush won one silver, and both Ayed Al-Azmi and Salem Al-Ali won two bronze medals each.
Captain Abdul highlighted the support provided by Kuwait and its keenness on developing the sport and its athletes.
The championship saw the participation of 12 Arab national teams in Bahrain, and went on from November 12 to 16 at Khalifa Sports City Hall. (end)
