Stanley Donwood - 'Hazarda Hazardo'
Since 1994, Donwood has been the visual architect behind Radiohead's iconic imagery, creating the evocative and haunting artwork that has become synonymous with the award-winning band's distinctive identity.
Coinciding with Radiohead's sold-out London concerts as part of their major European tour, this unmissable exhibition offers fans a rare opportunity to explore works curated from Donwood's vast personal archive. Spanning his celebrated partnership with one of the world's most influential bands, the show features collectable screenprints including artwork the seminal album 'OK Computer' and the newly rereleased 'Pacific Coast 2024', originally created for the band's 2003 album 'Hail to the Thief'.
“Saluton!
The well-known musicians known collectively as Radiohead are playing some shows at the O2 in London on the 21st, 22nd, 24th and 25th November. And by what is known in the trade as a“fortuitous happenstance”, there will be an exhibition of Radiohead-adjacent screen prints at Jealous in London at the same time. Who would have thought it? Uncanny coincidence, co-ordinated correlation or shameless bandwagon jumping? You decide.
Anyway, we at the Slowly Downward Manufactory have chosen a collection of screenprints that we have made over the years, including several brand-new, never-seen-before editions.
These prints will only be available from Jealous while the show is open, and after that only from Slowly Downward Manufactory.
And regarding the title of the exhibition, I translated the term 'fortuitous happenstance' into Esperanto and there you are. 'Hazarda Hazardo'. And bonŝancon!” - Stanley Donwood
Sixteen prints will be displayed alongside a statement piece: the 'Ursa Arborealis' lightbox, featuring exclusive artwork created to commemorate the tour and limited to an edition of just five.
'Hazarda Hazardo' runs from 20th–29th November at Jealous, 53 Curtain Road, London EC2A 3PT.
