Pig prevents two Russian soldiers from stepping on mine

(MENAFN) A pig reportedly prevented two Russian soldiers from stepping on an antipersonnel mine, according to video footage shared on Telegram.

The clip, posted on a Russian channel Saturday, shows two Russian assault troops approaching a ruined building while a domestic pig wanders nearby. As the lead soldier nears, the pig suddenly bolts and triggers a mine, causing the soldiers to reroute along the remains of a nearby fence.

“The animal’s subsequent fate is unknown. Our troops adjusted their route and continued their mission,” the channel noted, without specifying when or where the incident occurred.

Meanwhile, Russian forces are reportedly advancing along several fronts, including near the encircled Ukrainian towns of Kupyansk in Kharkiv region and Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) in the Donetsk People’s Republic, according to Moscow’s Defense Ministry.

The ministry also announced that the ‘East’ joint forces had fully liberated the settlement of Yablokovo in Zaporizhzhia region from Ukrainian control, marking the ninth settlement taken by this group in November.
