PACA: Fining Some Travel Agents, Aviation Companies Due To Violations


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 13 (KUNA) -- The Public Authority for Civil Aviation's (PACA) Complaints and Arbitration Committee has fined eight travel agents and aviation companies as they violated laws, regulations and general statements made by the authority.
Speaking to KUNA in a statement, head of the committee and air transport management Abdullah Al-Rajhi said these measures were taken, within the framework of ongoing efforts exerted to boost discipline and compliance with laws and regulations.
He affirmed the committee's keenness on protecting passengers' rights and ensuring service safety offered by civil aviation.
Al-Rajhi noted that the committee has a firm approach to combat any breaches committed by workers at civil aviation market that may affect passengers, stressing the necessity of the agents and companies' obligatory abidance by laws.
The committee held its 11th meeting today under the leadership of Al-Rajhi and in the presence of members of relevant bodies. (end)
