"We reaffirm our commitment to Ukraine's security, which is fundamental to European security. We are united in pursuing a sustainable and just peace, in full respect of Ukraine's sovereignty and the legitimate aspirations of its people," the statement reads.
Representatives of the eight countries also committed to sustaining long-term, predictable, and coordinated military support to Ukraine, including through capability development, defense industrial cooperation, and strengthening Ukraine's ability to deter future Russian aggression.
"To demonstrate our support, we have jointly decided to contribute to the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative with $500 million package. This initiative provides a mechanism for the purchasing of critical defense equipment from the United States, contributing directly to Ukraine's resilience and defense against the Russian aggression. This is one of the many ways our nations support Ukraine," the statement reads.

"We will not allow it to succeed. Ukraine's security is directly connected to ours," the statement concludes.
PURL is a U.S.- and NATO-initiated program designed to provide Ukraine with critically needed weaponry through financing by NATO members for the purchase of U.S.-made weapons and equipment. The mechanism allows partner countries to fund purchases based on a priority list of Ukraine's needs, agreed with the U.S. and NATO.
According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine plans to use frozen Russian assets to produce its own weapons and purchase air defense systems via the PURL mechanism.
