Kochi SME Summit To Focus On Sustainable Industrial Growth & MSME Support
The event will focus on strengthening the role of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in driving sustainable and inclusive industrial growth.
With an international airport, strong port connectivity, expanding IT infrastructure, and a skilled talent base, Kochi has steadily grown into a competitive business and startup hub.
Lower operational and living costs compared with major metros have further positioned the city as an attractive destination for SMEs.
Sessions will cover financial support strategies, coastal and blue economy opportunities, aviation-driven development, and the importance of business insurance for MSME resilience.
Senior representatives from IDBI Bank, ICAR–CMFRI, Cochin International Airport Limited, and The New India Assurance Co. Ltd will participate in fireside chats and special addresses.
A panel discussion featuring leaders from the seafood, plastics, and small industries sectors will explore inclusive industrialisation and value-chain integration for MSMEs.
Part of the third edition of the ET Make in India Regional Summit series, the Kochi leg is themed 'Empowering MSMEs: Driving India's Century of Sustainable Growth'.
Supported by IDBI Bank and The New India Assurance Co. Ltd, the initiative will span 20 cities, including Thane, Nagpur, Nashik, and Baroda, offering a platform for policy dialogue and collaboration among MSMEs, industry experts, and government representatives.
