Cork City's First Padel Club Launches Following A €4 Million Investment

(MENAFN- Pressat) Cork City's first padel venue opens this December after a €4 million investment from local company The Hive. The project transforms a 19,000 sq ft industrial space into a five-court indoor facility designed to bring together the city's growing padel community in a modern, purpose-built facility.

“The Hive represents more than a club. It's the beginning of Cork's next community movement,” said David Farrell, General Manager of The Hive.“We wanted to bring something unique to Cork and hence the investment, our goal is to create a place where people can move, connect and belong. We spent two years trying to find the right site and we couldn't be happier with the outcome, we're beyond excited to show it off. The idea for The Hive emerged from the limited opportunities to play padel within Cork City despite the boom in popularity across Europe.”

Located at Monahan Road, the club includes five indoor panoramic courts with nine-metre ceilings and dedicated spaces for coaching and training. The facility has been developed to meet the growing demand for padel within Cork City and to provide players of all levels with access to premium professional-standard amenities.

The new venue also includes an on-site café and retail area designed to encourage interaction and social connection. The space aims to serve as a community hub where players of all levels can meet before and after games.

The Hive Padel Club opens to the public in December at Monahan Road, Cork City. Bookings will be available through the dedicated app and website. Bookings open in December, watch this space!
