SAPO To Investigate Possible Information Leak In Energy Corruption Case
“In the morning of 10 November, the Head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, Oleksandr Klymenko, established a commission to conduct an internal investigation into a possible leak of pre-trial investigation data of NABU and SAPO. The decision was made on the basis of a report submitted by one of the SAPO prosecutors exercising procedural supervision in the investigation of a large-scale corruption scheme in the energy sector and in several other cases,” the statement reads.
The internal investigation is being carried out by SAPO's Internal Oversight Unit.
It is noted that the conclusions of the investigation may serve as grounds for administrative and procedural measures.

According to the bureau, members of the criminal organization built a large-scale corruption scheme affecting strategic state-owned enterprises, including JSC NAEK Energoatom.
The main activity of the organization was the systematic extraction of illicit profits from Energoatom contractors, amounting to 10–15% of contract values.
According to a knowledgeable source in law enforcement, NABU conducted searches at businessman and co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio, Tymur Mindich, as well as at Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko, who previously served as Minister of Energy.
According to Ukrainska Pravda, Tymur Mindich left Ukraine a few hours before NABU's searches.
