The event served as a global platform for Visit Oman to forge strategic alliances, engage with travel trade partners, and lead industry conversations on the future of travel technology and distribution.
Visit Oman proudly announced a series of strategic agreements with leading global travel platforms — TUI Musement, Klook, and Bókun, a Tripadvisor company — reinforcing its commitment to digital transformation and global connectivity.
These partnerships aim to:
• Empower local tourism providers and SMEs through real-time digital distribution.
• Integrate Oman’s experiences, accommodations, and travel services across global platforms.
• Position Oman as a dynamic, experience-rich destination for global travelers.
Each collaboration marks a significant step in amplifying Oman’s visibility and accessibility across key international markets.
In addition to these strategic signings, Visit Oman hosted a high-level executive roundtable in collaboration with the Global Travel and Tourism Resilience Council, titled “Exploring Technology and Alternative Distribution Methodologies.” The session featured prominent travel tech leaders from Amadeus, Sojern, VOX Group, Chain4Travel, Hopper, Wheresright, TripGroup, UnderTheDoormat, and Agoda, discussing innovative approaches to distribution and resilience in the travel sector.
Visit Oman further demonstrated its thought leadership during the panel session, titled “The New Travel Powerhouses: How Global Geopolitical Shifts are Redrawing Tourism Flows and Demand.” Opening the session, Visit Oman’s Managing Director, Shabib bin Mohamed Al Maamari, highlighted Oman’s strategic position at the forefront of Middle East travel growth. Renowned for its safety, security, and rich cultural heritage, Oman is increasingly attracting new demand and reshaping global travel flows. His remarks set the tone for a compelling discussion on how destinations like Oman are emerging as key players in the evolving global tourism landscape.
Commenting on Visit Oman’s participation, Shabib highlighted that “WTM London 2025 has been a pivotal moment for Visit Oman. Our strategic partnerships and thought leadership initiatives reflect our unwavering commitment to scaling the digital distribution of local tourism providers and empowering SMEs. By integrating Oman’s tourism offerings into global travel platforms, we are not only enhancing accessibility, but also placing our nation firmly on the digital global map.”
Visit Oman’s presence at WTM London 2025 marks a significant step forward in its mission to transform Oman into a digitally connected, globally recognized destination, while fostering sustainable growth for local tourism providers.
