Defense Forces Strike Shahed Storing And Launching Base In Donetsk And Volgograd Oil Refinery


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.

On the night of November 5, units of the Defense Forces hit a storage and launch base for Shahed-type UAVs in Donetsk (on the territory of Donetsk Airport).

According to objective control data, explosions and a powerful secondary detonation were recorded at the site.

The mission was carried out by the Rocket Forces and Artillery, the Unmanned Systems Forces (414th Brigade), and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Defense Forces also struck the Volgograd Oil Refinery.

The refinery's annual processing capacity is 15.7 million tonnes (5.6% of total refining in the Russian Federation). Explosions and fire were reported in the target area.

In addition, to reduce the logistical capabilities of the Russians on the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea, three facilities were hit.

At the oil depot in Hvardiiske, a successful hit was recorded in a reservoir and in tanks containing fuels and lubricants on the loading and unloading rack.

At two fuel and lubricant bases in Simferopol, reservoir parks were struck, and fuel tanks caught fire.

As reported by Ukrinform, the port in Russian Tuapse suspended fuel exports, and the local oil refinery halted crude processing after Ukrainian drone attacks on its infrastructure on Nov mber 2.
