Wizz Air To Launch New Premium 'No Neighbour' Seating Option

Dhaka: Budget carrier Wizz Air said it will trial a new travel option,“Wizz Class,” from December 2025 on selected routes from Bucharest, Budapest, London, Rome and Warsaw.

Passengers paying for the service will be able to block middle seats in the first rows, gaining more space and avoiding armrest disputes.

Fares have not been confirmed, but Wizz Air's Senior Chief Commercial & Operations Officer Michael Delehant said it will not cost more than an additional seat and is“not meant to be a money-grab.”

The package also includes priority boarding, carry-on allowance and guaranteed overhead bin space.

The airline plans to introduce Wi-Fi and a new infotainment system under the“Wizz Play” brand on some flights.

Silvia Mosquera, Wizz Air commercial officer, said the service targets customers“seeking more space, comfort and a quicker exit from the aircraft,” particularly business travellers who value low-cost options.

The move reflects a wider trend of low-cost carriers offering premium perks. In the United States, Southwest Airlines has faced controversy over assigned seating changes, and JetBlue offers its“EvenMore” programme.

Virgin Australia is introducing neighbour-free seating on domestic and short-haul international flights, and start-up Magnifica Air aims to offer private jet-style service at scheduled flight prices by 2027.
