Qatar, Finland Reviews Ways To Enhance Bilateral Ties
Doha, Qatar: Minister of Environment and Climate Change, H E Dr Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, met yesterday with Minister of Social Affairs and Health of the Republic of Finland, H E Sanni Grahn-Laasonen, who is currently visiting the country.
The meeting reviewed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in research, development, and innovation related to environment and climate change, in addition to exchanging expertise and strengthening partnerships.
The Minister also met with Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Acting Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) H E Haoliang Xu, who is visiting the country. Discussions dealt with ways to enhance the partnership between Qatar and the UNDP, particularly in areas related to the environment and sustainable development, in order to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
