Dr Giuditta Fontana is a political scientist specialising in education and cultural institutions in conflict-affected and fragile societies. She is committed to multi-method research. She has expertise in conflict management, education reform, institutional design and the design of peace agreements across Europe, West Africa and the Middle East. She has authored a monograph ('Education Policy and Power-Sharing in Post-Conflict Societies: Lebanon, Northern Ireland and Macedonia', 2016) and numerous articles on education reforms, cultural policy and the design of sustainable peace accords (including most recently 'Beyond reassurance: the reputational effect of cultural reforms in peace agreements', 2022 and 'The dataset of political agreements in internal conflicts (PAIC)', 2021).
