Strike On Military Base In Dnipropetrovsk Region: SBI Launches Probe
An SBI investigative team promptly arrived at the scene to determine all the circumstances of the incident.
Investigators are examining, among other things, whether safety protocols for personnel during an air raid alert were followed and whether adequate shelter arrangements were in place for the troops.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted under Part 4 of Article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – negligent attitude toward military service committed under martial law.
On November 1, Russian forces struck the village of Novotroitske in the Samar district, Dnipropetrovsk region, with a ballistic missile and a drone. Among the dead and injured were two children.
The occupiers also attacked the cities of Nikopol, as well as the Pokrovske, Marhanets, and Chervonohryhorivka communities using FPV drones and artillery fire.
The East Group of Forces confirmed that Ukrainian soldiers were killed and wounded as a result of the missile and drone strike. An inspection has been launched to determine whether air raid alerts were issued in time, and whether troop placement and outdoor gatherings were appropriately restricted and kept away from non-designated areas.
