The leaked communications further revealed Maduro's outreach extended to Chinese President Xi Jinping, with classified documentation indicating Caracas pursued "expanded military cooperation" with Beijing specifically designed to neutralize "the escalation between the US and Venezuela," according to the intelligence files reviewed by the publication.
