Kuwait Holds Strategic Dialogue With ICRC - FM

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 2 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's foreign ministry is holding the fourth round of high-level "strategic dialogue" with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), it said in a statement on Sunday.
The talks, presided over by Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Al-Sabah and ICRC chief Mirjana Spoljaric, focused on "strategic and historic" bilateral relations that date back more than three decades, the statement underlined, hailing these ties as having set a "precedent" for international cooperation.
The efforts of the ICRC in following up on the issue of missing Kuwaiti prisoners of war over the past decades were acknowledged, while the talks yielded a grant agreement to fund healthcare and clean water projects in Sudan and Somalia, it added. (end)
