(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 2 (KUNA) - His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Chinese Deputy President Han Zheng held an official round of talks on Sunday.
During the talks, the deep-rooted historical relations between the State of Kuwait and the friendly People's Republic of China were touched on, along with ways to develop and enhance the existing partnership at all levels in a manner that serves the common interests of the two countries and the friendly peoples.
The Kuwaiti side included the Head of the Crown Prince's Diwan, Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah Al-Yahya, Minister of Public Works and Head of the accompanying delegation of honor, Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, Abdullatif Al-Mashari, Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, Dr. Subeeh Al-Mukhaizeem, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority, Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Managing Director of the Kuwait Investment Authority, Sheikh Saud Salem Abdulaziz Al-Sabah, and senior officials.
The Chinese delegation included Vice Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, Wang Changlin, the Vice Minister of Transport, Xu Chengguang, the Chinese government's special envoy for the Middle East issue, Zhai Jun, and the Assistant Minister of Commerce, Yuan Xiaoming. (end)
