Company Registrations Surge 49% As Business Confidence Strengthens

Amman, Nov. 2 (Petra) -- Jordan's business landscape is showing robust signs of expansion, with the number of newly registered companies increasing by 49% since the start of 2025 compared to the same period in 2019, according to data released by the Companies Control Department. The growth also represents a 19% rise from the same period last year (2024).
During the first ten months of 2025, a total of 6,341 companies were registered across the Kingdom, up from 4,266 in 2019 and 5,334 in 2024. The total registered capital during this period exceeded JD 356 million, underscoring rising investor confidence and business activity in the market.
Limited liability companies continued to dominate new registrations, accounting for 72.5% of all companies with 4,597 registrations and a combined capital exceeding JD 114 million. In terms of invested capital, private shareholding companies led the way with more than JD 156 million in registered capital.
Meanwhile, the number of companies dissolved or deregistered declined sharply, down 74% from 2019 levels and 31% from 2024, signaling improved business stability.
The report also highlighted a significant 756% surge in net capital increases compared to 2019, and a 151% rise relative to last year.
