Dr Madeline-Sophie Abbas is a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Lancaster University, UK. She researches on critical race and whiteness studies, Islamophobia, counter-terrorism, security and surveillance, citizenship and migration. She is author of Terror and the Dynamism of Islamophobia in 21st Century Britain: The Concentrationary Gothic (Palgrave, 2021).
