Arab Forum In Beirut Reflects Its Cultural, Media Standing - Media Figure


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT, Oct 27 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Arab Media Forum Madhi Al-Khamis said Monday holding the forum in Beirut this year reflects its Arab cultural, media and historical status.
Al-Khamis made the statement during a press conference in the Lebanese capital about preparations and arrangements for the forum, in which Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmad Aboul-Gheit and Arab media ministers and figures will attend.
The event will be held under the patronage of Lebanese President Joseph Aoun under the theme: Media and Sustainable Development: Partners of the Present - Alliance for the Future".
He said that Lebanon is considered a platform of journalism, thought, freedom and creativity, hosting Arab journalists, writers and media figures.
Al-Khamis commended the Arab Media Forum as having been one of the key professional gatherings since it was established in 2003, considering it a pan-Arab platform of dialogue, sharing expertise and making future insight regarding media-making, particularly regarding challenges of artificial intelligence, misinformation, information flow and future of journalism and visual and digital media in the Arab world.
