Fires Erupt At Friends Avenue Building In Indirapuram, Apartment In Delhi's Dwarka

(MENAFN- Live Mint) Two separate fires have broken out at residential buildings in and around Delhi, just two days after Diwali celebrations. The first fire erupted at a residential building in Friends Avenue, Shakti Khand 2, Indirapuram, while the second blaze broke out at an apartment in the Dwarka area of Delhi.

Fire tenders have reached both locations, and firefighting operations are currently underway to bring the flames under control. Fortunately, no deaths or injuries have been reported in either of the incidents so far.

The videos of the fires at Indirapuram residential building and Dwarka apartment showed thick smoke billowing out of them as fire fighters fight the blazes.

Earlier on Tuesday, October 21, a blaze erupted in a building near Gate Number 31 of the Rashtrapati Bhawan, prompting the authorities to dispatch five fire engines, an official of the Delhi Fire Service (DFS) said.

The official said a call reporting a fire involving domestic items on the ground floor of the two-storey building was received at 1:51 pm, adding that the blaze was brought under control within 20 minutes

INS Trikand blaze

The Indian Navy's warship INS Trikand, deployed in the Gulf of Aden for maritime security operations, carried out a rescue and firefighting mission after a massive fire broke out on board the Cameroon-flagged LPG carrier MV Falcon off the coast of Djibouti, Indian Navy's spokesperson said on Wednesday, October 22.

According to the Navy, the ship's crew swiftly responded to a distress call, coordinating with a civil tug hired by the shipping company to bring the blaze under control. Also Read | Palisades fire: Uber driver Jonathan Rinderknecht arrested for blaze that killed 12, destroyed 6,000 homes
