Lynda Dunlop
- Senior Lecturer in Science Education, University of York
I am a senior lecturer in science education at the University of York where I work on science and environmental education and climate activism. I am particularly interested in the role of education in enabling people to participate in dialogue and political decision-making about environmental issues, and co-convene the BERA Special Interest Group on Education for Environmental Sustainability. My most recent work focuses on how young people perceive environmental interventions and how they experience environmental education in formal and non-formal contexts. I am currently researching the use of games linking climate change, colonialism and justice, and co-lead the Play for the Planet network at the University of York. My undergraduate degree is in chemistry and I hold a PGCE in secondary science education and a PhD in science education.
Experience- 2020–present Senior lecturer, University of York
