Youth Attend Summit 23 in Istanbul

(MENAFN) The youth event Summit 23, organized by the 23 Foundation, launched its fifth edition in Istanbul on October 16, under the theme "Go to Yourself."

The summit, hosted by the Istanbul Basketball Development Center, attracted 3,000 students who were chosen through various application processes, alongside nearly 500 professionals, civil society leaders, and prominent figures from the business world.

With the central theme "Go to Yourself," which reflects the journey of self-discovery for young people, this year's sessions explored a range of topics, including uncertainty, doubt, curiosity, passion, balance, peace, conscience, courage, and revolution. These nine core themes were addressed by different speakers, each focusing on one specific area.

The event, moderated by Harvard Business Review Türkiye Editor-in-Chief Serdar Turan, featured a diverse group of speakers, such as Ahmet Akyol, General Manager of ASELSAN, Ebru Tasci Firuzbay, Executive Vice President for Talent and Culture at Garanti BBVA, Meltem Bakiler Sahin, Executive Vice President at Vodafone Türkiye, Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, sustainability and technology expert Sertac Doganay, food writer Refika Birgul, actor Zafer Algoz, and technology journalist Serdar Kuzuloglu.

This year's summit saw an impressive turnout, with over 30,000 applications received. In total, more than 12,000 participants have taken part in the event during its first four years.

Since its founding in 2021, the 23 Foundation has been dedicated to enriching Türkiye's human capital. It aims to offer young people an “educational journey” that enhances their skills through transformative experiences.
