(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) SHARJAH, Feb 11 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Al-Fatat basketball team secured on Tuesday the bronze medal at the 8th Arab Women's Clubs Games, currently being held in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The team secured the medal after defeating Iraq's Ghaz Al-Shammal (101-74) in the third-place playoff match, following a strong performance throughout the tournament amid tough competition from participating teams across various Arab countries.
This achievement reflects the advanced level that Kuwaiti women's basketball has reached, as well as the club's efforts in supporting its players and developing their skills to compete in international tournaments.
The Games will conclude tomorrow, Thursday, with wide participation from Arab clubs across several sports, in a competitive atmosphere aimed at strengthening the presence of Arab women's sports and promoting the exchange of experience among participating teams. (end)
