Doha: The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) launched Healing Notes, a new outreach and community initiative in collaboration with Sidra Medicine, a women's and children's hospital and an entity of Qatar Foundation. The inspiring concert series brings the transformative and educational power of live music to patients, hospital staff, and the wider public, offering moments of comfort, learning, and connection through the universal language of music.

Open to patients, families, visitors, and staff at Sidra Medicine, the Healing Notes sessions will feature quarterly live chamber performances by ensembles from the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra. Each event will introduce audiences to musical instruments, stories, and composers in an engaging and educational format that promotes well-being through music.

“It is very important for us to give back to the community. Music has a healing power, and it is a universal language,” said Kurt Meister, Executive Director of the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.“I hope QPO's performances can reach every single person in Qatar and make a positive impact in their lives.”
