
'Hour And Hour' Organises 'Technology And Awareness' Event
Doha, Qatar: The“Hour and Hour” programme has organised a unique awareness event under the slogan“Window of Hope,” as part of its Pink October activities, at Ezdan Palace Hotel. It was attended by a large number of health, educational, cultural, and humanitarian entities, and featured the participation of more than one guest.
This event comes in partnership with the Qatar Cancer Society (QCS), and with the support of the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), represented by the“Non-Communicable Disease Prevention Department,” the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, the General Directorate of Endowments, the Turkish Embassy in Doha, the Turkish Cultural Center, and the Turkish School, in addition to a group of local educational and health institutions.
Ambassador of Türkiye to Qatar H E Dr. Mustafa Goksu, MoPH's Director of the Non-Communicable Diseases Prevention Programs Department Sheikh Dr. Mohamed bin Hamad Al-Thani with other officials attended the event.
The event aims to shed light on the vital relationship between technology and health awareness, especially regarding breast cancer, and how to utilize digital tools to raise the level of health awareness, promote early detection, and alleviate the suffering of patients through psychological and cognitive support.
Chairman of Qatar Cancer Society H E Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Jabor Al Thani, said:“At the Society, we believe that awareness is not an option, but a responsibility, and when technology is employed in this context, it becomes a tool capable of saving lives and opening windows of hope in the hearts of patients and their families.” He pointed out that the“Technology and Awareness” event represents an inspiring model of what can be achieved when the efforts of various state institutions join forces to harness digital innovation in the service of health awareness, particularly concerning breast cancer.
CEO of the“Hour and Hour” program Tamani Al Yafei said that this event, organized under the slogan“Window of Hope” as part of Pink October activities, carries a noble humanitarian and health message, seeking to promote awareness and provide support through the gateway of science and technology.
She added:“We believe that technology is not just tools, but bridges of light that connect us with knowledge and open windows of life, reassurance, and hope for us. Every awareness saves a life, and every piece of information planted with love may bear fruit as hope in a patient's heart.”
