Air India Flight Lands Safely In UK
Dhaka: An Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner operating flight AI117 from Amritsar to Birmingham landed safely following the deployment of the Ram Air Turbine (RAT) during its final approach.
The incident, which occurred on October 4, did not affect the aircraft's overall functionality, with all onboard systems remaining operational throughout the flight.
According to an Air India spokesperson, the aircraft's electrical and hydraulic systems were operating normally despite the RAT deployment.
The aircraft was grounded for further inspections, leading to the cancellation of flight AI114 from Birmingham to Delhi.
Alternative arrangements were made to accommodate affected passengers.
Air India reiterated that the safety of its passengers and crew remains its top priority.
