OSCE Condemns Russian Attacks On Ukraine, Urges Russia To End War
“Russia's latest missile and drone attacks on Ukraine have once again disrupted dozens of lives and shattered civilian infrastructure. We stand firmly with Ukraine in its fight for sovereignty and freedom. Russia must end its war of aggression,” the statement reads.
In addition, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) condemned the strikes on a railway station in the Sumy region.
“Shocked at reports of Russian strikes on a railway station in Ukraine's Sumy with numerous civilian injuries, including children. The energy infrastructure has been repeatedly damaged, leaving thousands without power in Ukraine. These blatant violations of international humanitarian law must stop now,” the statement said.

“Clearly barbarian strikes on civilian infrastructure in town of Shostka, in Sumy Oblast. Dozens wounded and at least one dead, as a passenger train is hit on Saturday. Focus on railways is a worrying innovation in Russian tactics. Moreover, as a result of this attack, the town of around 70,000 inhabitants is now without electricity, gas and water supply,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, Pere Joan Pons Sampietro, also condemned the Russian strikes:“I condemn in strongest terms Russia's double-tap attacks on civilian trains in Ukraine's Sumy Region as another sign of absence of real wish for peace at Russia's side”.
As reported by Ukrinform, several regions of Ukraine came under a combined attack by Russian missiles and drones overnight Sunday, with threats reaching western areas.
Earlier, on October 4, Russian forces also struck the railway station in Shostka, directly hitting a passenger train and injuring dozens of civilians.
