Youth Minister, Run Jordan Head Discuss Expanding Sports Cooperation

Amman, Oct. 5 (Petra) – Minister of Youth Raed Adwan on Sunday discussed with Lina Kurd, Director-General of the Run Jordan organization, ways to enhance cooperation in sports activities and events.
Both Adwan and Kurd stressed the importance of strengthening partnership in organizing marathons and various sporting events, promoting a culture of running among youth center members, and supporting youth volunteers' participation in marathons organized by Run Jordan.
Adwan emphasized the ministry's commitment to expanding sports participation across society, particularly among young people, given the positive impact of sports on physical and mental health and its role in fostering values of belonging, perseverance, and teamwork.
For her part, Kurd said the organization seeks to broaden youth engagement in national and international sports events, highlighting the positive image of Jordanian youth in sports forums.
The two sides agreed to continue coordinating to implement awareness-raising sports programs in youth centers, aimed at instilling sports as a way of life and fostering a healthy, conscious, and active young generation engaged in national activities.
