Türkiye's BIST 100 Opens Slightly Higher


(MENAFN) Türkiye's primary stock market gauge began trading on Thursday at 11,223.74 points, marking a marginal rise of 0.03%, or 3.52 points, in comparison to its previous closing level.

On the day before, Wednesday, the BIST 100 had seen a notable increase of 1.89%, finishing the session at 11,220.22 points.

The total value of trades conducted during the day amounted to 162.6 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to around $3.91 billion.

By 9:50 a.m. local time (0650GMT) on Thursday, currency exchange values were recorded as 41.6025 Turkish liras per US dollar, 48.9225 against the euro, and 56.1935 per British pound.

At the same time, the price of gold per ounce was listed at $3,869.50, and Brent crude oil was being exchanged at $65.35 per barrel.
