Kuwait Coast Guard Chief Discusses Security Coop. With UK Senior Defense Adviser


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 1 (KUNA) -- Director General of Kuwait Coast Guard Commodore, Sheikh Mubarak Ali Al-Yusuf Al-Sabah met with United Kingdom's Senior Defense Adviser for Middle East Affairs, Vice Admiral Edward Algren to discuss areas of mutual interest, particularly regarding security and ways to strengthen cooperation.
The meeting took place at the Sabah Al-Ahmad Coast Guard Base, with several senior Coast Guard officials in attendance, during the British delegation's official visit to Kuwait, the Ministry of Interior said in a press statement.
Sheikh Mubarak Al-Yusuf highlighted the longstanding historical ties between Kuwait and the UK and the ongoing development of military and security cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, the UK advisor was briefed on the latest developments within Kuwait's Coast Guard, including the new coastal surveillance system and the integration of marine drones into the fleet.
The ministry noted that the visit reflects the shared commitment to enhancing maritime and security cooperation, advancing strategic interests, and promoting stability and security in the region. (end)
