Jordan Participates In Regional Meeting On Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency In Beirut

Amman, Sept. 26 (Petra)-- In Beirut, Lebanon, the 27th meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE) was attended by representatives of the Council's member states, including Amani Al-Azzam, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
The Ministry said in a statement on Friday that Ahmed Al-Dosari, the chairperson of the Board of Trustees, presided over the opening of the meeting. In order to strengthen the Center's role in assisting regional efforts to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy, the meeting examined the Center's suggested organizational structure and write new strategy.
In addition to reviewing the Executive Committee's procedures and discussing the Center's technical and financial reports, the attendees also followed up on the execution of earlier Council decisions.
The Council's chairmanship was transferred to the Republic of Djibouti during the meeting, and it was confirmed that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan would host the following one.
The gathering takes place during Lebanon Energy Week 2025, when the country's National Renewable Energy Action Plan was unveiled.
