Russian Troops Strike Historic Part Of Kherson At Night, Causing Fires


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the corresponding video was posted on Facebook by the Head of the Kherson City Military Administration, Yaroslav Shanko.

“Last night, the historic part of Kherson was hit. The enemy deliberately fired at old buildings. The buildings were significantly damaged. The shelling caused fires,” Shanko said.

He noted that there were no casualties. A man whose home also caught fire was helped to safety.

Social workers from the Kherson City Military Administration went to the sites of the shelling. They visited all the apartments in the damaged buildings and provided the necessary consultations. Utility workers and volunteers from the Strong Because Free NGO will be involved in cleaning up the aftermath.

In the video, Kherson residents talk about their experiences. An elderly woman had her windows blown out for the third time, and a Kherson resident found shrapnel in the wall of his kitchen.

According to the City Military Administration , five settlements in the Kherson community were hit by enemy strikes over the past day. Kherson, Sadove, Prydniprovske, Komyshany, and Antonivka came under fire from Russian artillery and drone attacks. In particular, residential buildings, cars, and non-residential structures were damaged. One person was wounded as a result of Russian attacks in the Kherson community.

As reported by Ukrinform, eight people were wounded in the Kherson region yesterday due to Russian aggression.
