Humanitarian Aid From Qatar Reaches Syria's Daraa

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) In collaboration with the Qatari embassy in Damascus, Qatar Charity (QC), with the generous support of its donors, has distributed 500 food packages to displaced families from Syria's Suwayda governorate currently residing in rural areas of Daraa.
Each package contains 64kg of essential food items, enough for a family for an entire month.
The initiative aims to help meet the basic needs of displaced families, enhance food security, and ease their living burdens.
In a statement, Khalifa bin Abdullah al-Mahmoud, the chargé d'affaires at Qatar's embassy in Syria, affirmed that the initiative reflects Qatar's ongoing commitment to standing by the Syrian people and alleviating their humanitarian suffering during these difficult times, in line with its steadfast principles of supporting relief and charitable work.
Earlier this month, a convoy of emergency humanitarian aid was delivered through the Nasib border crossing between Syria and Jordan.
The joint initiative – led by Qatar through the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) and the QC, in co-operation with Jordan – was co-ordinated directly with the Syrian government and Qatar's embassy in Damascus.
