Eat Spain Drink Spain Debuts In Qatar
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Doha, in collaboration with ICEX Spain Trade & Investment, has announced the first edition of Eat Spain Drink Spain in Qatar.
The campaign will take place from October 1-15, bringing Spain's cultural and culinary richness to Doha through a series of exclusive events, tastings, and promotions, a statement said.
Previously held with great success in the UK, Germany, EEUU and Singapore, Eat Spain Drink Spain has established itself as a global showcase of Spain's tradition of culinary excellence.
The Qatar edition marks the campaign's entry into the Middle East, reinforcing Spain's position as a gastronomical reference and strengthening ties with the Qatari hospitality industry.
Over 15 days, residents and visitors in Doha will enjoy a curated programme hosted at luxury hotels, restaurants, supermarkets, and gourmet stores. Participating venues will offer Spanish-inspired menus, pairings, tastings, and cultural activations designed to highlight the diversity and quality of Spanish products.
Dr Álvaro Renedo Zalba, ambassador of Spain to Qatar, stated:“Spanish gastronomy is among the finest in the world. It is proud hallmark of our culture and a key component of our soft power. I have no doubt that over 90mn people that visit us each year do so with the enticing perspective of savouring Spanish cuisine.”
This year's edition will feature olive oil from Andalucía, Manchego cheese with Protected Designation of Origin, premium seafood preserves from the Cantabrian coast, and authentic bomba rice for Valencian paella, among other products carefully curated for the Qatari context.
