Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan Hold Fourth Round Of Political Consultations

KUWAIT, Sept 23 (KUNA) -- Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Ministries held on Tuesday the fourth round of political consultations, with the participation of Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Afairs Ambassador Samih Hayat and Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Foreign Minister Temirbek Erkinov.
Both sides discussed cooperation in developmental, economic and political fields, amid continued developed ties, upon the directives of the two countries' supreme political leadership, Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
During the talks, they also focused on the drafts of 32 deals and memoranda of understanding in multiple domains and specialties, and they approved to prepare them for signing by the two governments in the first quarter of 2026, it added.
The deals discussed included means of enhancing economic partnership, and expanding investment and trade cooperation, as well as opening new channels of business in both countries, it noted.
They also covered offering further facilitations and incentives to both exporters and importers at the markets of Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan, in a manner that supports trade and investment initiatives in the next phase.
Both sides focused on sharing expertise in innovation, technology, entrepreneurship and financial services, along providing new programs to small and medium-sized companies growth, it noted.
Kyrgyzstan's political leadership considers Kuwait as a "key strategic partner," the statement quoted Erkinov as saying. (end)
