Prof. Kieran O'Sullivan is the head of Physiotherapy at the University of Limerick (UL) in Ireland. He is ranked in the top 0.1% of researchers on low back pain worldwide. He has published over 180 journal articles including prestigious journals such as The Lancet, and has published two randomised clinical trials on low back pain. He has obtained over 4m euros in research funding. He was awarded a lifetime fellowship of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists in 2024. He has been awarded the President's award for research excellence at UL, as well as multiple teaching awards at UL.
