Kuwait Wins Gold, Four Bronze Medals In Arab Table Tennis Championship

CASABLANCA, Sept 15 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti national table tennis team clinched one gold medal and four bronze in the team category of the 2025 Arab National Teams Championship, currently underway in Casablanca, Morocco.
The U-11 gold medal went to Sheikha Al-Ali, Haya Abdullah, and Al-Joud Al-Sanawi.
The national team also secured four bronze medals in various age groups. Meshaan Al-Mansouri and Osama Al-Kandari earned bronze in the Under-11 doubles, while Rayan Al-Eidan and Maryam Al-Helwaji achieved bronze in the U-17 doubles.
In the U-19 team category, Abdullah Al-Haddad, Fahad Al-Shammari, and Meshal Falhan took bronze, as did Maryam Baron and Jana Abdullah in the general doubles category.
The Kuwaiti delegation aspires to continue its strong showing in the singles competitions, which began today with the participation of top-ranked players from across the Arab world.
The championship serves as a key platform for the development of table tennis in the Arab region and a stepping stone toward future international events.
The tournament, organized by the Arab Table Tennis Federation in cooperation with the Royal Moroccan Table Tennis Federation, is being held from September 12 to 18 in Casablanca.
It features the participation of 300 male and female players across various age categories, representing 14 countries, including Kuwait with some of its most skilled athletes. (end)
