Qatari PM Tackles Development In Region With UK Nat'l Security Advisor

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, Sept 14 (KUNA) -- Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Thani met on Sunday with visiting UK National Security Advisor Jonathan Powell.
According to Qatari foreign ministry, the meeting discussed cooperation relations between the two countries and ways to support and develop them, as well as the developments in the region, particularly the treacherous Israeli attack that targeted Doha.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammad affirmed that the State of Qatar will take all necessary measures to protect its security and preserve its sovereignty in response to the blatant Israeli occupation attack.
In turn, Powell reiterated the UK's solidarity with the State of Qatar, its strong condemnation of the Israeli attack, and its categorical rejection of any aggression that threatens the security and safety of Qatar and undermines the security and stability of the region. (end)
