DVLD Puts Up Premium License Plate Numbers For Auction

Amman, Sept 14 (Petra) – The Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department (DVLD), in coordination with the Ministry of Finance, announced Sunday the launch of a public auction for distinguished vehicle plate numbers, with proceeds allocated to the Student Support Fund.
The auction will feature highly sought-after single-, double-, triple-, quadruple-, and quintuple-digit plates, including (1-4), (1-20), (1-33), (1-66), (1-88), (1-7), (1-777), (1-666), (1-101), (1-10001), (1-9999), (1-33333), (1-8888), (1-70000), (1-44444), and (1-55555).
Details of the numbers, conditions, deposits, and starting prices are available on the DVLD website [] under the media center's announcements page, or via a direct QR code link. Deposits are refundable.
The live auction will take place on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, at 4 p.m. at the St. Regis Hotel in Amman, near the Fifth Circle. Participation is open to Jordanians with a national ID number, foreign nationals with a personal number, or authorized representatives, provided they pay the required deposit and present proof to the DVLD.
A JD30,000 deposit per number is required to bid. If unsuccessful, the deposit will be rolled over for subsequent numbers or refunded at the end of the process. Winners who wish to continue bidding must submit a new deposit for each additional number.
Deposits can be paid in person at DVLD's Marka headquarters for an electronic payment code, via bank transfer to IBAN (JO06CBJO0010000000000131001207), or through a certified bank cheque made out to the DVLD director.
The DVLD stressed that attending the auction constitutes acceptance of its terms and conditions, and only those who have submitted deposits or their authorized representatives will be allowed entry.
Winners may register the purchased number under their own name or another person's, provided a written request is submitted to the auction committee the same day.
