Czech Republic Calls For Tougher Sanctions After Russian Drone Violated Romanian Airspace


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Czech Foreign Minister wrote about this on social media, Ukrinform reports.

"Russia continues to provoke. Last night, it was Romania," Lipavský stated.

He added that he does not believe in Russian“mistakes” and noted that“as NATO allies, we remain vigilant”.

"Russia must pay a concrete price for its provocations against NATO. That is why Czechia supports further sanctions," the Czech Foreign Minister emphasized.

As reported by Ukrinform, on Saturday, September 13, a Russian drone penetrated Romanian territory by about 10 kilometers and remained in the country's airspace for about 50 minutes.

Romanian Foreign Minister Oana-Silvia Țoiu condemned Russia's provocations with the launch of drones into her country's territory and promised to call on the UN General Assembly to enforce sanctions against Russia.
