Damascus: Syria has expressed its deep gratitude and appreciation to the State of Qatar for its initiative to send a humanitarian aid convoy to its territories, in cooperation with Jordan.
The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement that the humanitarian aid convoy, sent by the State of Qatar in cooperation with Jordan, included dozens of trucks loaded with food and medicine that entered through the Nassib border crossing.
It noted that this valuable aid will be distributed to those affected by the recent events in the city of Suweida and to the displaced in shelters in Daraa Governorate. The Ministry affirmed that the initiative embodies the spirit of solidarity and mutual support among Arab brothers and contributes to alleviating the suffering of the Syrians.
