DM Shmyhal Visits Training Ground In Britain Where Ukrainian Troops Are Trained

The minister inspected the training conditions of soldiers who are being trained by instructors from the armed forces of the United Kingdom, Romania, Albania, Denmark, Australia, Finland, Sweden, New Zealand, Kosovo, Lithuania, and Estonia.

Shmyhal spoke with Ukrainian Armed Forces servicemen and foreign instructors and listened to their opinions on the training process.

He also listened to a briefing from the commander of Operation Interflex. As part of the operation, more than 60,000 Ukrainian military personnel have already been trained since June 2022.

“It is important that our allies take into account the lessons of modern warfare in their training, and that the training conditions are as close to real life as possible,” Shmyhal emphasized.

He took part in the graduation ceremony for a group of 150 soldiers who will soon join the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and awarded Ukrainian and foreign military personnel with decorations.

Shmyhal thanked the soldiers for successfully completing the courses and their willingness to contribute to victory, and also expressed gratitude to the United Kingdom and partner countries for the high-quality training of Ukrainian military personnel.
